Thank you for visiting my site! My desire is to help other tall women feel wonderful as we stretch the norms and find creative ways to make fashion WORK!

I was born and raised in the Caribbean and had very limited resources to clothing that catered to extremes. When I was 12 years old and almost 6' tall, I resorted to wearing clothing which did NOT fit properly; or outfits designed to fit an adult woman (who was STILL shorter than me). 'Tall' or 'long' was still not long enough... it was depressing!

My mother is a fashionista, my mom did high fashion modeling up until her second child; after which she became very involved in pageantry, training and chaperoning beauty queens. I couldn't help but develop a sense of style being around the industry ALL MY LIFE. My problem was always my darn height!! I was very athletic and considered a 'Tom Boy'... mostly because I chose to wear jeans, really... high waters or cut off shorts that I inherited from my older sisters- I'd pair that with a T-shirt. The 'boyish' me was really due to my discomfort with trying to be feminine; none of that girlie CRAP worked for me. Paint my nails, I look too grown; long jeans aren't long enough; short jeans are too short; skirts are... pfff (besides my school uniform). I loved dresses but didn't own many- because my pooch made me look like a school girl gone bad. I had it rough you guys...

I remember my first innovative way of altering a pair of men's jeans so that I could feel 'normal' and meet dress code for me and my bestie's Sweet Sixteen birthday photo-shoot. My grandma Ello (RIP), who was also above 6', was VERY helpful with creating what I desired. (Details in separate post)
