My VERY handsome grandfather passed away in 2008 but I wanted to honor his memory so I drew a picture of him. This project took me years to complete, I think I wanted the experience to last forever. I wanted the picture to be perfect, and I enjoyed thinking about him while I drew his face.
My grand parents were amazing examples for our community and they were both honored by our governing bodies for their contributions to the island. My grandfather was honored as one of the islands first and very successful entrepreneurs and him and my grandmother owned the very first bakery on the island and supplied bread through out St. Martin and the neighboring islands. My grandmother was honored with the 2nd highest medal of Service from the French government.
I have HUGE shoes to fill ;)
